Our Social Media Manager, Ellie, is obsessed with these Running Accessories for 2026

Ellie's favourite running accessories right now (and why you need them too)

Right, let's be honest — most running accessories are an afterthought. You throw on your shoes, grab your jacket, and head out the door. But after a year of testing, posting, and genuinely wearing this stuff on my actual runs, I can tell you: the right accessories are the difference between a safe, comfortable run and one where you're cold, thirsty, and basically invisible to traffic. Here are the three things I've been reaching for every single time I head out in 2026.

Pick 01 — REFLECT360 Fully Reflective Hair Scrunchie

New for 2026

Okay, I genuinely didn't expect to love these as much as I do. I saw them land in the product lineup and thought — cute, fine, a scrunchie. But then I wore one on an early morning run, and the reaction from my running club was immediate. "What is on your hair?!" is now a question I get asked a lot.

During the day, it looks like a regular, lovely scrunchie. The second a car headlight hits it? It lights up like a beacon. Safety that doesn't feel like safety — that's the Proviz magic.

Made with that iconic REFLECT360 fabric — embedded with millions of tiny glass beads — this scrunchie gives you real, CE EN 20471 certified reflectivity without looking like you've strapped a high-vis vest to your ponytail. It comes in a range of colours (pink is my personal go-to, obviously), and it's soft, lightweight, and comfortable enough to forget you're even wearing it. For anyone who runs before sunrise or after work: this is your new non-negotiable.

Pick 02 — REFLECT360 Explorer Running Headband

Cold-weather running is unavoidable for me, especially in the UK. I will not be defeated by cold ears. And this headband is the reason I've managed to get out the door on every frosty morning so far this year without complaining about it (much).

It's dual-layered — REFLECT360 yarn on the outside so drivers can spot you from further away, and micro-fleece on the inside so your ears stay properly warm. It breathes, it stretches, it fits everyone. I honestly don't know why I didn't have one sooner.

The knitted REFLECT360 outer layer picks up vehicle headlights down the road — that extra second's notice for a driver genuinely matters. But equally, that micro-fleece lining is cosy without trapping heat, which means you stay comfortable even when you're working hard. One size fits all, machine washable, and it disappears into your jacket pocket when it warms up mid-run. Honestly, it should be in every runner's kit bag from October to April.Shop the headband → https://provizsports.com/products/reflect360-explorer-running-headband?_pos=1&_psq=headband&_ss=e&_v=1.0

Pick 03 — Reflective Running Hydration LED Vest

For the long runs

This is the big one. If you're running anything over 10K — especially in low light — you need this vest. I resisted it for ages because I thought a running vest would feel bulky and annoying. It does not. You genuinely forget you're wearing it.

It comes with a 450ml soft bottle on the front, three LED lights (two white, one red), REFLECT360 trim all over, and pockets for your phone, keys, and post-run snacks. It is a lot of product for the money.

The adjustable chest buckles and side straps mean it's actually fitted to you — no bounce, no shift, no fuss while you're running. The soft bottle compresses as you drink and pops right back in without breaking your stride. Add in the breathable perforated panels, and the fact that you can clip LEDs on wherever you want, and this vest is essentially your safety and hydration system sorted in one. I take it on every long run without question now.

The bottom line

These three accessories cover your hair, your head, and your hydration — and all three make you properly visible on the road. Whether you're doing a quick 5K before work or pushing out a long run on the weekend, you don't need to choose between looking good, staying warm, and being safe. Proviz figured out a long time ago that you can have all three at once.
